The message list viewer, Bug

As a long term Bat user I still have not seen a fix for this bug. Maybe someone has had this problem and can suggest a fix, whereas Ritlabs has failed.
After reading message, the read message list viewer goes blank. You cannot see what email messages you have read unless you click once in the viewer.
Ritlabs suggests going to: View--All Messages.
Sorry that doesn't work. Nor does Ctrl=.
No fix from Bug reports.
Any suggestions from other users?
In the meantime I am using Barca Pro and will keep TheBat on the sidelines.

Never seen anything like that happen. Unless you have your message list filtered to only show Unread messages and there are no more unread messages...

... in which case, Ctrl= (view all messages - they are the same function) always works.

This is not a bug, hence no fix. It would help if you could clarify what you mean by

In many years of user support on the mailing lists, this one has never come up, unless I'm just not understanding what it is you are doing and where you are doing it.

Thank you for your reply. You are right, and I am VERY wrong. After reading your reply I went back again for the 50th time and check my perferences. The message group color perferences was set to White on White. So I the messages were there but I could not see them.
When I updated TheBAT a few versions ago that somehow got changed.
My apologies. As the saying goes: It is usually the operator and not the software.
Now I can go back to using TheBAt.
