TheBat 10.4.0.1 64bit locking up when manually checking mail

Not sure how to even begin to diagnose this.  Updated to this version recently from 8.something.

When manually checking for new email (pop3 account) using keyboard shortcut, on occasion the program will just lockup and stop responding. Waiting for a few minutes doesn't release it. Only way is to kill the thebat64.exe process.

You could try enabling the "Run CEF Browser in a single process" setting, in Options | Preferences | General.  The CEF component has been causing some weird problems recently.
I volunteer as a moderator to help keep the forum tidy. I do not work for Ritlabs SRL.

AFAIK - disabling CEF helps to unfreeze when you look into complex attach with internal viewer or complex html-letter.
Here we see another problem.

100% not to ask such a questions here. There are no RitLabs employees here. If you see/saw/seen someone on forum - this is hallucination.

Ask support about that - https://www.ritlabs.com/en/support/
If they helps you, don't forget to tell us what have you done.

Something very broken in the 10.4.x base.  Even tried the 10.4.0.9 beta with same results.

In addition to the issue in the OP, i've also discovered a long pause when trying to create a new email - ctrl - n.  I suspect these are related.

For now, I'm going back to 1.0.3.3.

I suspect it may have something to do with the calendar update¿?

Could be, see this thread for some possible solutions: https://www.ritlabs.com/en/auth-forums/forum4/topic16064/

In particular, the last message (#12), you could try doing a full uninstall, clearing the registry entries (but back them up first), and installing v10.4.0.x.

Clearing the registry entries will reset some settings mostly pertaining to the look-and-feel, but your accounts will be unharmed (but back them up too, of course).
