"Add a File" delay, Dialog very slow after recent Win 11 update

> Any insight into what in the recent win. update has created this problem?

If that's what caused it, it's unrelated to The Bat and you may find the cause using a regular Google search.

My first suspicion would be that antimalware is causing the delay. If not that, maybe a shell extension that you use in Windows Explorer, or a slow or sleeping network connection or external harddrive.

Oh crap! Apologies to SzDoc for effectively deleting his message when I responded to it. I must have pressed 'modify' again (an administrator command) instead of 'quote', thus overwriting his message with my response. Unfortunately there is no way to recover the original message. I'm sorry SzDoc!  The gist of the message was that SzDoc is experiencing a delay when using the 'Add file' command, when a File Open explorer dialog is opened, and this may be related to a recent Windows update.

It looks like you put it back.  Thanks.

Await any insight on how to address this problem.

Any thoughts?  This is rather annoying.

Thanks

Just workaround from my side: I do forgot when use it native add a file feature (may be 15+ years ago :) ). Drag&drop from TotalCommander or FileExplorer more better than this ugly native window.

Not "just a workaround"  :)  But a way to test whether the issue is with TB or something else. If there are no problems with drag & drop then there is a problem with TBs native Add File window and it should be reported to the developers.

If problems persist even when using drag & drop into TBs message window, try using drag & drop to some other destination, like a local folder. If there are no problems copying to a local folder then TB is to blame. If there are problems even when using local folders then it is something else, with a few suggestions given by Daniel above.

Interesting:  No problems with drag and drop.  (Via Xplorer2).  Apparently it's TB not playing well with recent Win updates.

Thanks, all.

Great, thanks for the feedback. Please report the problem to the devs using the support link above.
