Is there away to export and import the Preferences settings?

Is there away to export and import the Preferences settings? I have poked around in all the menus and can't find choices for that, but sure hope they exist.

The standard backup allows also for exporting and importing almost all preference settings. In the backup configuration panel only the Global Options field should be marked to create backup of the settings.
