IMAP "upload"

I imported a bunch of older mails into a new IMAP account, but synchronization seems to only work "downstairs", meaning: the local folder is arranged according to the server status... But how can I add something on the server w/o having to re-mail all those messages to myself?!

IMAP Upload is a tool for uploading a local mbox file to IMAP4 server.
The most stable way to migrate to Gmail.
http://imap-upload.sourceforge.net/
Run on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, *BSD, and so on.
Command line interface.

I checked the same IMAP account from my phone and the messages appeared there also. So maybe I don't understand what you mean by "downstairs". The Bat! appears to have uploaded to my IMAP server just fine.
