Can't see messages

Hello,
I run version 11.4 on Windows 10.

After upgrading to version 11.4 I had some difficulties. I use as Windows split mode "full-height account tree". If I select any message in message list, I can't see it in the window bellow. When I change Windows split mode for a different pattern I can see the message just for a second, then the message disappears and the window is cleared. The same behaviour is shown if I double click on the message in message list: a window opened and show the message, but after a second the window is cleared and message gone.

A second problem is that I can't shut down normally theBat, in task manager, in list of apps, I can see 4-5 instances of TheBat E-mail Client by Ritlabs SRL, but I have to end task to shut down the program.

Please help me.

I've had similar issues with previous versions, although not as severe. I believe the new conversation view and CEF are to blame. I think the leftover processes are from CEF. A few things to try:

- Use the classic preview pane: Options -> Preferences -> Viewer/Editor -> Use Classic Preview Pane (for me the new conversation view is inherently unstable, it just stops working after a while)

- If this doesn't help, run TB with the /ForceNoCEF command line option (add it after 'Target" in the shortcut properties). This will use an alternative viewer to display HTML messages, but some new features will become unavailable: Calendar, new Address Book interface, the conversation view itself.

- Also, to keep using CEF you can try Options -> Preferences -> General -> Run CEF Browser in a single process

- Lastly, you can roll back to v11.3. To do that, you need to uninstall v11.4 first (back up the message base beforehand to be safe).

Thanks. I tried, it worked for few minutes and I could read messages, but now The Bat shuts down just after logo disappears. Event viewer reported Faulting module name: libcef.dll, located in AppData\Local\The Bat!\CEF\99.300.124\64\libcef.dll

OK, best to roll back to v11.3. CEF was updated in v11.4, and the new version doesn't seem to like your setup.

I had to uninstall 11.4 and I installed 11.3. Now everything is ok. Thanks.
