I do have a Google Workspace account. While the standard GMail account worked well, I am not offered OAuth when i enter my Google Workspace's domain.

Is there a way to trick the account adding process into doing OAuth with Google?

Just a brain fart, but have you tried starting out by creating a Gmail account (Oauth and all), and then change the server name afterwards? My thinking here is that The Bat may be applying a domain-specific template when you first create an account, but not when you change it.
