I confirm.
After installing the last version of theBat! the body of the messages are empty. I don't see nothing and the assistance do not answer to me.

I only restored the attachements using the check box in the editor's setting "previous view"

I didn't experience this in v11.4.2.1, but it seems to me that CEF is crashing. This can be verified if, after closing TB, a bunch of TB processes are left among the Background Processes in the Task Manager. These should be ended before restarting TB.

Besides rolling back to a previous version of TB (v11.4 and downwards use a major earlier version of CEF) you could try the 32-bit version of TB v11.4.2.1. For some reason this one works better for me than the 64-bit 11.4.2.1. Usually it is the other way round.

I'm asking for help with THE BAT. I've been using it for 10 years, but I keep getting new errors. Two things: today, new emails suddenly lost their content. Instead of content, I get blank text or "X-VADE-SPAMSTATE: clea" or "X-VADE-SPAMSTATE: commercial:mc." Sometimes, attachments named "part.att" are unopenable or contain nothing. The previous version, 7.4.16, worked for several years. I installed the new version, 11.4.2.1, but I still get these errors. After making a backup, I uninstalled and installed it in a new folder, and nothing. I still have the option to delete the profile and saved settings, but I don't want to do that. Can anyone help?

If the cause of this problem is that the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) is crashing, wouldn't it be a good idea for these users to run The Bat without CEF?

To do so, simply put /ForceNoCEF on the command line. Right-click on the desktop icon that you use to launch The Bat, choose Properties, and on the 'shortcut' tab, look for 'target'. That is the command line. Put /ForceNoCEF (with a space before and after it) on it, so you get something like this:

"C:\Program Files\The Bat!\TBLauncher64.exe" /ForceNoCEF /NOLOGO

Hopefully that will let you work around the problem until the CEF implementation is fixed.

Tried it but it didn't work. Did I need to re-boot for it to take???
