Unable to send a message on port 25 with SFR as operator.

Good evening everyone, I use TheBat pro ver 3.51 under Windows XP, I know it's old but it works very well. Recently with SFR as operator I can no longer send messages, I am told that port 25 is prohibited. Receiving messages works well without problems. What settings do I need to make to be able to send messages again? Thank you in advance for your help.

Best to contact the ISP, but your run using TB v3 is most likely over. The ISP probably updated the protocol implementations on their server, and if that's the case you may need to switch to using secure protocols (TLS/STARTTLS) with a newer version of TB, on different ports.

Just to add to what Miloš said ... you can use old software as long as it works for you, but do not expect to use old software to communicate with the rest of the world indefinitely. You could use a Mac Plus and an Apple Imagewriter today, but you could not use a Mac Plus to browse the web.

Yes I understand well, but everything worked very well until the end of September then suddenly in November it no longer works in sending, reception is ok. I'm going to install a more recent version of TheBat on a more recent OS, I'll report back here. THANKS
