"Happy" Christmas., Layout

Why on earth is there a Christmas edition? Now I can look at a Christmas picture again for a month or even longer. I wonder who's being pleased with this?

It's a tradition by now, accompanied by discounts on licenses. Some people probably like it, some are indifferent (like me), some don't (like you).

You can always disable the picture by starting TB with the /nologo option in the command line.

BTW, they skipped Halloween this year.

Fair enough, but replace the splash screen again in January to keep it up to date, not just after a few months.
I have this key "nologo" in my registry but every now and then I start it manually and then my face clouds over again.

"thebat_startup"="C:\\Program Files\\The Bat!\\TheBat64.exe /minimize /nologo"

They have a timer for that, seems to be hard-coded. Usually it is set to around a month.

Just add /nologo into the properties of the shortcut you use to run it manually, and the clouds will go away.
