Drop down name menu

Currently when I compose a new e-mail or reply to one there are two fields at the top of the e-mail:
From: and Reply To:

If I click the drop down menu to the right of these fields a list of possible e-mail addresses shows up.
I can choose any of these addresses to use in these fields.

I would like to add a few more e-mail addresses to appear in the drop down menu.
Can someone please tell me how I go about adding more addresses?

This is "history", emails that you use it last time, you can't manually change this list. What stops you to do some handle* to your favorite emails and use it when you type address in the field?

I do use
*1
*2
*3
etc

* Adress book - open some contact and add in Nickname (Handle) some not usually used symbol/symbols and of course you need to remember it this handle, that is not so complex for your memory.

On other side I do like your suggestion if it be like new checkbox near to history, something like customized favorites list. Ask RitLabs about new feature, post here feature request link and I will add +1 to your request.

Thanks for helping out George.
Could you please explain in more detail how I can use 'handles' for the addresses?
A search didn't turn anything up.

Type in address field *1 (or any your added handle) and that contact under this handle shows below - press down button - enter.

I guess I'm just a lucky so and so.  :(
I'm working now on my new computer.
When I open the address book there are NO Contacts for ANY of my accounts!
AND I can't create any new contacts because it is grayed out!!!   :(

Well for some reason the Address book allowed me to enter new contacts today!  :)

But it's not helping me at all.

There are three key fields at the top:
From:
Reply To:
To:

If I enter *1 (the handle) in From or Reply To, it doesn't add the e-mail address.
It only works for the To: field.
That's not what I need.  :(

George can you get this to work for the From: and  Reply To: fields?

Guess you don't add nickname (handle) field inside contact as some "*1" or any other handle that you can then type inside address fields and see suggestion that The Bat! will show you.

Sorry - I can't help you more. Re-read, re-do by yourself.

Addressing Messages

When you open the message editor window to create a new message, your cursor is automatically placed in the To field. To input the addressee, use one of the following methods:

  1. Once you start typing the recipient’s address, The Bat! checks for the identical entry in the address book, and, if found, suggests an address to complete it. If the characters you entered are found in several entries, The Bat! suggests all of these addresses. You can either continue inputting the address to display fewer matches or choose the needed address from the list.
  2. If you added your recipient to the Address book, you can start typing his name or surname, and The Bat! will show all matches in a list.
  3. If you specified a handle for your contact in the address book, you can input it. Press the Tab key to move to the next header or click into the message body to begin typing your message. The Bat! will automatically replace the handle with the respective email address.

Yes I did add a handle. It was the one you suggested   *1.
It works for the To: field, but not for the fields I need: From / Reply To.

Again, the 'addressing messages' notes that you copied and pasted are for new messages and the: To field.
That's not the field I have problems with.

In the Properties of an account, under General, you can enter your desired default FROM and REPLY-TO name and address.

When you create a new message and click on the pull-down menu to the right of the From or Reply-To field, it shows all the default From and Reply-To values from all your accounts. I don't think this can be edited. If you need more options, you may have to setup a few new (non-functional) accounts and enter those details there.

OMG. Why do you need this? Are you have so many aliases?

Also, the From / Reply To fields can be defined for individual folders. So, filtering into appropriate folders and replying "from there" may do the trick.

This could also be possible for individual contacts from the address book, albeit through macros in message templates.
