How to handle winmail.dat attachments, internally in TB

Hi,

I quite often recieve emails having a winmail.dat file attached.
I read this is some MS Outlook specific format, and even found some free app that can extract attachments from such files. However it's quite inconvenient to additionally process these files. Is there any way (a plugin, trick or whatever) to see the content of these files directly in TB?

The easiest thing to do is to associate .dat files with fentun. That way double clicking on the winmail.dat will show you its contents.

Also you could try to convince your contacts that they shouldn't use the tnef format, as it's Outlook only. The last case I saw of someone using it ended by an OE user complaining that he couldn't open it.
