New Container Thread View - without visible Subject or preview, New Thread view shows no subject or preview requiring more clicks

Hi Developers!

As always, your e-client is the best on the market by far!!  :{}

One backward step is the new Thread View that on the Plus side:
1.) Allows quick deletion of all emails sent to spam addresses without using the PERMANENT "shift-ctrl-del" keys - from which there was no return. (Although when spammers use friendly names, it muddles TheBat's Threading, which is friendly name based and not actual email address based.")

On the Down side however:
1.) One can't see any useful info at a glance - no initial subject header and no preview of the email(s) inside. This requires 2 extra mouse clicks: Expanding group and Selecting the first email.

2.) Also, since the threads are sorted on HEADER  FRIENDLY NAMES and not ACTUAL EMAIL ADDRESSES, this produces, sometimes 20 or more threads, instead of ONE THREAD for ONE REAL EMAIL ADDRESS.

3.) That means LOTS AND LOTS more WORK and Mouseclicks!! :(

---

I suggest you could get the best of both worlds by SORTING ON REAL EMAIL ADDRESSES, and simply using the first email of the group as the "group header" email, showing it's subject/preview but INCLUDING a means of highlighting it (such as a check box) such that when the "group header" email is highlighted/selected, it represents the whole group for deletion/moving purposes.
-----
Considering so many people go to the hospital for typing stress injuries, anything that adds extra clicks is undesirable, and anything that saves clicks/work is good.

Thanks again for the best email client out there!  :D

Love,

Russ

I have the same issue!!! I have considered going back a few versions because it is SO time consuming. PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!

This is not the place to come with feature requests.

You can insert wishes in the wish list, by logging in to:
https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/main_page.php
Choose 'The Bat! wishes' and add a new item.
First check whether someone has made the same wish, then you can
support that wish.
Wishes that are supported by more users are more likely to be granted
than wishes by one. And the system isn't smart enough to understand
that wishes might be the same.
And add just one wish per entry. Makes everything easier, both for
other users who want to add support and for the developers.
