Browse for attachments not showing files

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help?

When I want to attach a file the Browser window doesn't show any files even if I select the *.* filter. It does show the directories though.

If I navigate to where the file is saved and type the name in it does attach OK

When I first open the browse window the file type filter defaults to .zap which is to do with Zone Alarm, but it doesn't show any of those files either.

I'm using TB 3.6 (recently upgraded from 3.5 which had the same problem)  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

This is driving me nuts so any help would be appreciated

Since posting I've also discovered that the same problem occurs with ALL file requesters and not just the attachments one.

I've not completely solved the problem, but I do have a workaround:

Entering *.* (or *. and then the required extension) in the File Name box brings up the list of files.

I've done a complete uninstall - including TB's Data Files, AVG & Zone Alarm - Then reinstalled TB only and created a brand new account but the problem is still there.  So it seems that Files of Type filter is broken on my system for some strange and unknown reason.

Oh Well, at least I can now browse for files :)

you are not alone... i noticed the very same problem (and came to the forums looking for help)

Thanks for posting the workaround  :D

FWIW, I'm running win2000 - maybe this problem doesnt affect XP users??
