Bug in Settings Transfer, Discovered by me!!!!

I saved settings from TheBat installed on C-drive.

Then I tried to restore settings into TheBat installed on F:\ drive.

TheBat would start crushing as soon as I'd import the settings.

I had to manually go through all config files and registry settings to discover that configuration which was imported had absulote paths with C:\ drive specified in them! I then had to do "search & replace" in registry's TheBat key (substituting C:\ for F:\) and then change paths in few config files (e.g. smime.ini)

After spending hours on this, TheBat finally works on F:\ drive.

Are TheBat developers aware of this problem?

AFAIK TB's internal backups are supposed to be restored in the same place. So I guess the developers do know this.

When you want to place TB's message base somewhere else, you can do this from within the program by changing the mail directory at:
Options -> Preferences -> System
(It's been a while since I tried this)
