Gmail en POP3 ??, Cannot use gmail with the Bat!

I'm using the bat version 3.01.
I want to recieve Gmail and followed the exact configuration data provided by Gmail, didn't work. I tried the following:


smtp-server: smtp.gmail.com
authentication:
v smtp-authentication
use specific accounts: (fill in user en password)
Click OK and return to mainwindow.
Connection: STARTTLS
Port: 587 (i also tried 465)

pop.gmail.com
Authentication: regular
Click OK en return to mainwindow.
Connection: STARTTLS
Port: 995

This doesn't connect me!!
Message:
never ending try to receive messages

Have you configured your gmail account to use pop3? Otherwise it'll never work.

As Roelof says, you must first have POP3 enabled. Once you have done that, the recommended settings should work. Here is a screen capture of my working settings....
