AutoComplete on 1st character ?, Worked up to V3.62

Up to version 3.62.14 the AutoComplete for the To: field was reacting on the 1st key entered. Since V3.64 and V3.65 I need to key in 2 characters to make it work.
Is there a way to get V3.65 work on the 1st entered as it is in V3.62 ?

You can play around with the different auto-fill options in:
Options->Preferences->Message header->Select your wanted header->Edit
I don't care much for the autofill, so you've got to experiment for yourself. And I'm not sure whether it's possible what you want.

I know where adjustment can be made and the AutoComplete works as a feature, it's just that up to V3.62 it was reacting on the 1st character and now on the 2nd. :cry:

I noticed this myself also. It used to autocomplete with a single digit, now I must type in two digits for the same response.

I prefered the original setup myself. :(

I am extremely disappointed that the auto complete feature doesn't work. It's enough to almost (I said almost) make me go back to using Apple Mail  :cry:

Please!! Is there someway to make this essential feature work again?

Plaintive cry... I just want auto complete to work!!!

What do you mean by "the auto complete feature doesn't work" ? As far as I can see it works, it's just that you need to type two digits to get a response whereas before just one was necessary.

i've just installed version 3.71.03.

you still have to type in 2 digits. yet you get a new feature where a list of possible addresses drops down which is a nice feature.

i'll stick with this new one, yet i'd still like the one letter typing back... (but this isn't the place for askin it, i know).
