Open Attached Word File and Filename Changes

When I open an attached Word document, I don't get the actual name of the word document, but rather a somewhat random looking series of numbers and letters.  For example, "Memo.doc" instead opens as "650E7AA9.doc."

The ritlabs helpdesk confirmed this but felt that it was a feature rather than a bug. Specifically, they stated:

"scenario:
you get two messages (which aparently are different), from the same person, both messages have filename.doc attached.
attachments' sizes are different, you want to open them both and visually compare.

got the catch?"

So, I guess they are concerned about getting overwriting filenames in the attachment folder.  However, for me the problem is that when I double click a file to open, I want it to retain it's name.  They asked me to "poll the audience" on this forum.

What do you all think?

I don't really care about the name it's got when I open it. That would be important when you use the program you open it with also for storing and I never do so.
Whenever I store an attachment to disk, I use the save attachments menu in TB, that enables me to store all attachments in one action at any place of my own choice.
Then again, I wouldn't mind to open it with its real name. After all when you open the file it's temporarily stored in TB's own temp folder. It's not like you're supposed to do some heavy editing keep it stored in the temp folder and then open a document with the same name. Any safety precautions are irrelevant I guess.
