User interface disapear

I have downloaded and installed the trial version of The Bat! v3.71.03 and after a restart the main window refused to appear. All I can see is a window with a message (messages not loaded) right in the middle of it! The application is functional because I can receive messages which are shown on ticker, but I can't get that user interface with all my messages. Reinstall don't change anything.

An idea ?

My configuration:
XP Pro, avast antivirus, MS office

Thank you!

What happens when you try to view a different message?

I do not see my messages.  I see only the menu in top of the window and the error message.  The remainder is empty.  :cry:

What happens when you select a message and press F9 ?

I am having almost the same problem.  After installing the Bat v3.71.03 and after a restart the program opens but the main window appears blank except the main menu bar across the top.  The rest of the screen is blank.  I am using XP home edition, norton anti-virus & firewall.

Sometimes when I open the program I get a msg that there are jobs uncompleted and do I want to wait before closing the program.  If I select Yes the message keeps reappearing.  If I select no the Bat closes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

What happens when you play with the settings under:
View -> Window split mode
Is there any difference in what you see?
If not, then close TB and look for the tbuser.def file in your mail directory, rename it to tbuser.old and start TB.
