Can't delete email

Help..... I have a problem email in one of my folders.  It will not delete.  I can't backup because of this email too.  Any suggestions on how I can delete it?

Local folder? IMAP folder? Are you able to view the message? Copy it to another folder? Export it?

Hi John,

Local Folder ... I just have to select the email and everything freezes up for about a minute or so. Tried to move and it locks the system again for about a minute or so but doesn't move it nor delete it. I can view it and open it eventually. It contains 5 PDF files and the email  file size is 1,485,132

Oh, tried to delete one of the PDF's and I get 'Stream read error'

Looks like the message base for that folder is a bit corrupted, you could try to fix that via the maintenance centre.

When that doesn't help, you can create a new folder, copy all good mails to that folder, close TB, delete the messages.tbb and .tbi files matching with that folder and replace them with the .tbb and .tbi files of the new folder.
I hope you don't use an encrypted message base, because it's almost impossible to identify the right folders, because the directory names will be encrypted too.

Lucky for me I did not encrypt this time round. I'll give this a go.  Maintenance did not work, so looks Like I will be deleting the dir :-)

Deleted the Dir..... interesting that it said there was 101MB oin the InBox when there was only one email which was 1,485,132 in size.  Anyhow, all seems to be working as normal now. Re-running Maintenance on everything.
