Re: Transparent Signature Field, What's wrong with the "Signature" field?

On the standard reply template and new message template, why is the "Signature" field so faint you can barely read it? It appears to be grayed out. How is the recipient supposed to be able to read the "Signature" field when by default it is grayed out (almost transparent) to the point where you have to stain your eyes to be able to make it out.

That's just the way displays it. The actual signature is sent with the same font and colour as the rest of your message.

The reason that TB's default visability scheme shows the signature less emphasized is that the actual message has ended there.
You can alter the colour scheme for the Rich Terxt Viewer at:
Options -> Preferences -> HTML/Windows Editor -> and select the item 'Signature Text'

That doesn't appear to be true. I sent myself a test message and used Thunderbird to retrieve it. The signature shows "greyed out" just like it was sent in The Bat. Also tried it with Eudora, the signature was also greyed out.

I have to concur. I tried the same thing with Eudora too and the signature came back "greyed out"! Does anyone have an explanation for this?

For some reason, that's just the way they set it up. You can easily fix it per Roelof's instructions.

"Options -> Preferences -> HTML/Windows Editor -> and select the item 'Signature Text'"

Click on signature text and change to whatever color you want. You can also change the default italics to standard.

In that case you're using the HTML editor, so you can change it on the same place as I indicated where you could alter the display.
