Proxy/Firewall Settings for TheBat & Voyager, How to configure our famous mail client to use a corporate proxy

How do I configure TheBat! to use this proxy of the enterprise I work for or the hotel I live in?

Especially for the Voyager it is important, to be able to configure a proxy and firewalls. I am pretty sure when travelling around you will find proxy / firewall setups in different locations, which are not under your personal control and which can't be changed.

Let's say it's hostname is app-proxy.int.company.info listening on Port 3128, which will forward all protocols.

I miss a way to tell the Voyager about this nice proxy, so I can't use it from inside my workplace at the corporation. It's a pitty! Did I waste my money and do I need to find work-arounds?

I think Voyager must support this by design. I just can't find the option.

I can't figure out a solution. Is there an option at all?

Seems you wasted your money and the admins are not responding anymore ;(

The new version of The Bat! will support http proxy to check for new version and download images, as will as SOCKS4 proxy for IMAP4, POP3 and SMTP.

When will this new version be available, do you think?

this month

Is the setting a GLOBAL one, or on an account base (by mailbox)?

global for all accounts

Marek and Maxim, has this global proxy setting (http for updates and Socks5 for POP/IMAP/SMTP) been added??

If so, where is it accessed at? If not, is it still in the plans? betas?

Thanks, redleg.

yes, check tab Proxy in Options | network and Administration

yes, I see this now... Forgive me for the silly question, I had missed mention of it anywhere, even tbbeta, and was quite excited to hear this development- but couldn't find it in Options|Preferences, which is obviously the wrong place to look! ahhh, excellent, this works nicely- thank you Ritlabs, I renewed my license last night, got a response in an hour or so. You have kept a long time loyal customer- for longer!

Thank you for your quick response Marek, I will go back to silent lurk mode now... :D
