bat is filtering some messages into limbo, How to set up so i don't loose filtered mail

I recently installed the bat and I am still trying to figure out how to correctly configure.  The bat seems to be filtering some messages that are not spam.  Worst of all, spam as well as who knows how many legitimate emails are filtered into limbo.  There is no junk box.  I added a folder and named it junk hoping the bat would filter into it ( i did this after i noticed i'm loosing mail) but no luck.

How do i set uup thebat to filter inlt a junk box.  Also, i see no way of marking mail as "junk" or "spam" to teach the bat what is and isn't junk.  a few junk mails have made it through and it seems my only option is to delete.

Also, how do I re-direct good mail from a specific sender into it's own folder?

Thanks

Options -> Preferences -> Anti-spam
gives you the possibility to filter spam in a folder or to delete it.

To mark a message as spam: Select it, right mouse button, specials, mark as junk (or as not junk) marks a message as spam (or not).
Mmessages marked manually as spam are mnoved to the junk folder, false positives can be  marked as not spam and they'll be deleted from your spam database. It'll stay in the junk folder though. You've got to move it the proper place. (Select message and press Ctrl-V)

any idea where the mail that has already been filtered has gone.  Whe it downloads messages theere is a display box that says "downloading message 2 of 9.....Deleting message 2 of 9......downloading message 3 of 9 etc"

Any idea where the deleted message went?  It's not in the trash.

Thanks, David

Select your inbox and pick from the menu:
folder -> browse deleted messages

When this doesn't do the trick, the messages didn't get imported into your message base. This behaviour can be caused by a virus scanner killing TB's temp files before they are processed.
You should know that the deleting that's being mentioned is not the deleting of local messages, but the deleting on the server and when a virus scanner disrupts the downloading, the download session won't be ended as it should and that means that a proper pop3 server won't delete the messages, so in that case your messages are still being stored on the server.
This can be fixed the easiest by starting the mail dispatcher:
account -> dispatch mail on server -> all messages
and delete the messages that look suspect.
