theBat repeats lines in replies, if the previous line contains ">"

there  is a strange problem in tB. If you reply to some message (plain text reply) and you type for example
blah --> zzzz
and then you keep typing, at some point tB moves the text to a new line. Now if the previous line contains ">", the text on the new line automatically starts with all the text preceding the ">" in the previous line - as of my example:
blah -->

Looks like tB treats ">"  characters in replies as a quote, any way to avoid this?

There are two ways to avoid this.
1) You can start lines including a '>' with a space
2) You can set 'quote name limit' to a low value so that it's  lower than the length before your '>'. The quote name limit can be set at:
options -> preferences -> editor preferences -> uote name limit
