New To The Bat, How to set as default mail client

Just trying The Bat. I can't find where to set it as the default email client. (I have too many others. Tbird, OE and Outlook) Don't care for the others. Kinda like this one. Any help is appreciated. Also, how can I get AVG to check The Bat emails?  Thanks.

Options -> Preferences -> Applications
(For configuring it as default mail client)

The AVG plug-in should be located at:
C\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG7\avgbat.bav
You can configure it at:
Options -> Preferences -> Protection/Anti-Virus
When it isn't installed, just do so with the 'add' button. AVG should install the plug-in, when that didn't happen, try to do so via the AVG control center.

Thanks for the help. I also noticed that I don't see any images etc in the email. Just the little red X's. (Yes, I am a little new to this.) Thanks again.

Those red X's are inserted on places where there's a link to a picture that isn't sent along with the message, like a link to a message on the sender's site.
No, that cannot be configured. The Bat! simply refuse to act like a browser. It's considered a safety feature.
