Another Gmail smtp setup problem, Another Gmail smtp setup problem

Hi.

I am trying to set gmail account. pop account is working fine but smtp did not work. Gmail account is set for pop account (It is running fine with no problem with Incredimail), I made my smtp settings as this :

This says authentication was lacking.
What are your authentication settings for smtp?

My SMTP setting is :
secure to dedicated port (TLS) port 465.
authentication :
Perform SMTP authentication (RFC 2554) is checked
Use specific settings is checked :
user     : name@gmail.com
Password : password
  (I tried both use settings from mail retrieval and perform and Use specific settings).

Required secure authentication is checked.

I suggest that you uncheck that.
Makes no sense to do that on a secure connection.

I got the same problem as Jamil. I unchecked all authentication settings. But there is no email successfull sent.

Help me please.

Oops! I found the reason. Just checked "Perform SMTP Authentication (RFC...)" and use default option "Same user/password as Mail Retrieval".

It's work.
