Import Address book from txt file, address only

I must be overlooking something basis.

I have a few hundred addresses I formated in a csv file (or text but has , between each e-mail address.

When I import I get box which for each one I have to change the import? column from No to Yes and go match it as an e-mail address in the 2nd column vs all the other options.

This would take me many many hours to do one record at a time.  Can't see any way to make them all "Yes" and to import as e-mail address.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

What TB is expecting as a csv is a file with each entry on a separate line, something like this:

Name, E-mail
Monkey, monkey@business.com
Roelof, roelof@isp
Dave, dave@phoenix

Of course it's possible to have more values on each line, like street address, city, etc
When you import that file you explain to TB what value is on what position and whether it needs to be imported and TB will import every line from your csv. I just tested it and it's still functioning as I rembered.

If it doesn't perform as I told then my guess would be that you've got multiple addresses on a single line or something else in your format is wrong.

Add ONE entry to the tb address book then export it
Open the CSV in something like excel and you will see what it expects

Export from the other program and move the columns to match and the import should be a snap. If you check and things are in the wrong fields you can go back and see what you did wrong and do it again if needed

Take a little extra time and note any information that is not going to go i.e fields in your current address book. Highlight the lines in excel and finish off by adding these few things manually - this step may not even be needed

Thanks for ideas. I was just using e-mail addressee a comma and the next e-mail since that is all I need.

I solved the problem by pasting into bcc line but would rather send one at a time using mass mailer from address book option.

But ideas here helpful for next time.

Thanks
