Is there an updated/Christmas bis version?

I'm running 3.86.9bis beta, which works great with unicode , yet this version's filtering system is broken, and I've been looking forward to a new update anxiously.

Please kindly let us know when the new bis version is up, please.... ;)

BTW, is the official Christmas version supposed to be a replacement for the bis version? I thought the bis version is a parallel development trying to improve the unicode compatibility, no?

Hi Maxim, the issue is that the bis version seems to be a parallel release aside from the official one. It has its own beta releases too. The bis version handles Unicode better than the official release, and I need Unicode support...

This "bis" version was not parallel; it was from the main sequence of versions. How did you figure out that the "bis" handles Unicode better than 3.95.03?

Currently 3.95.03 Christmas Release handles Unicode best of all (except the latest beta 3.95.05).

Hi, Maxim,

Someone from Ritlabs told me to download the bis version for a better handling of Unicode a few months ago, and I noticed the bis version has its own releases separated from the official one since then.

I've just installed 3.95.5, and I'm SHOCKED to say, it appears to be working! It's still too early to say, but seems to be the case. Unicode and thebat? Oh boy, I've been looking forward to this ever since thebat version 1 till this day, and I pretty much gave up on any hope that it will ever work in thebat - now you see why I was so reluctant to try anything other than the bis version, since nothing in the past works.

Anyhow, great job Ritlbas guys, I really hope it will stay stable in the future versions. :D
