KAV ANtivirus plugin ?, Not working

I have licences for The Bat! Pro 3.xx and Kav Bussiness Optimal.

The problem is that on a new Windows instalation i cannot select the KAV plugin from the interface option in The Bat!

Please help me !

Hello Bogdan,

that is because there is no Anti Virus Plugin for The Bat! at the moment :-(

They have only build in the function. Me for myself am also waiting for a plugin that gets KAV Pro 5.0 to work. Everybody tells you that there is no plugin needed anymore but like the personal version KAV Pro can only tell you in which mail database to find the virus. After that you have a really hard time to find the mail. You will have to delete the mail manually because the database is protected so KAV can not deal with the problem.

I gave it a try with a virus test file last week and it is really a mess.

The Bat suggests that it is imune against viruses but that is not true.

I would also like to have a variety of plugins to choose from for a long time now. And I mean that users should be able to get them right here and not by searching the bat fan sites and receiving 3rd party plugins like it is at the moment with the KAV Pro 4.5 Plugin which is of course outdated.

If I´m not up to date with this plugin matter please correct me but I really think anti virus could be supported much better just like anti spam which is a burning issue on this forum as well ;-)

But the latest version for KAK Bussiness Optimal is 4.5.0.104 (not 5.x)

Someone told me a trick.

First install KAV Persoanal and after that install KAK Bussiness Optimal

well ok but not talking about Business Optimal I´m using KAV Pro 5.0 which is also not working like it could be with a plugin.

Since Ritlabs is not as large and widely used as other software like eudora they should provide the plugins needed with the most common virus and antispam software.

Try Norton anti virus, it will kill the nasty virus for you before it reaches the bat.

forget plugins, besides most of them prolly won't have good updates, especially if they are free.

Norton is killing my computer.
I loved KAV for this plugin.

Dear Bogdan,

KAV stands for Kaspersky Antivirus which is probably one of the best Anti Virus Scanners.

NORTON has a big name with only little behind it.
Norton is not even able to scan in rar, ace and many other archives that are as popular as the zip format.

I was completely shocked when I found out about this fact the first time.

There are also some more point were Norton Antivirus is completely lacking compared to KAV and others.

I used Norton for a long time and I know what I´m talking about. Also NORTON connot delete Viruses from THE BAT mail databases once they get there.

Kaspersky Internet Security 6 has an ihnerent plugin for The Bat!.

If you install The Bat! and then Kaspersky Internet Security 6 (KIS), the KIS will add it's plugin in The Bat! configuration, to the list of plugins.

KAV Business Optiomal v4, 4.5 or 5.x don't have a plugin for The Bat!
