Hello!
Apart from one of the following issues none is exclusive to the version cited above; I just included it for reference.
1. TB cannot be installed as SimpleMAPI handler when ActiveSync is used on the computer. AC is Microsoft's tool to sync with PDAs running Windows Mobile.
When MS' MAPI.DLL is exchanged for RITLabs', AC will not work anymore.
2. MS Outlook is needed as PMI when one uses a WM-based PDA. One does not need to install it as e-mail client; still OL has the habit of regularly grabbing file extensions and the mailto: protocol. Theoretically this should not pose a problem but ...
When I start TB it asks me specifically for the EML extension to be re-associated, I answer yes, EML is re-associated. Only, mailto: is not, and I don't get asked about it. Even worse, sometimes - I see that especially when I wake my computer from hibernation [TB has been closed before going there; see below] - TB grabs VCF, which I want to have associated with OL.
3. I am not sure about this one. It seems TB hinders XP [on my comp] to correctly go into hibernation. When I close TB and wait for a few minutes it usually works, but not when TB is running or has just been closed [as if some TB task is still in memory running].
4. Version-specific: For a long time I was able to receive any mail from any account without trouble. A long time ago TB had trouble with certain mails [no idea which]. That was cured in-between but is now back. Since most of the times it happens with a specific account [from GMX], and this account has 99.9% spam, I deduce it is HTML related.
When TB happens on a problem-message it just shuts down, a quiet crash.
