I am using the AGAVA spam filter with its plug-in for The Bat! All is good, except for one thing: I cannot see an obvious way to automatically delete Junk mail from the server.
This is easy to do by other means (e.g. tag spam using something like SpamPal, and then create a Sorting Office filter). But I like the feature set of the AGAVA filter and plug-in, if I can just figure out how to delete the messages that it moves to the Junk folder off the server.
By default, I have The Bat! set to let all mail age on the mail servers for several days, for safety in case of data loss on the client side. The only exception that I want to make is for Junk, which I want to delete ASAP after flagging. Otherwise the Junk messages show up on my Blackberry, where I am charged by the KB for the data I receive.
I tried setting up a Sorting Office filter that would be triggered by all messages in a selected Junk folder to perform the 'delete from server' action, with Scheduler set up to trigger that filter, but I could not get it to work ... nothing got deleted from the server no matter what variations on the filter and scheduler settings I tried.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
David
