I am in the process of trying to move my Bat configuration & messages to a new PC, but I have run into a problem. I backed up my Bat configuration to an external hard drive, connected that to my new PC and then installed The Bat! on the new machine. I then tried to load the new settings and that is when the problems occurred. Before explaining what happens, I should add that the old PC was using a modem (running under Windows XP Home Edition SP2)to dial up to my broadband connection, whereas I am now using a router and combined modem which just seems to connect as soon as I boot up my PC (no dial-up screens appear and there are no dial-up connections listed in Internet Options). Now, whenever I try to run The Bat!, I get a brief message flash on screen (literally for about .5 of a second) about being unable to dial my default connection and asking me to check my Network Settings. The program then closes and a Windows Vista alert tells me that an error has occurred with The Bat!.
Can anyone advise me what to do? I don't really want to have to set up everything manually again as I spent a lot of time configuring The Bat! to my liking.
