Automatically Selecting New Messages?

Hey!  I just upgraded from 2.12 to 3.99!!  I have noticed something in this new version that I miss.

When I select a folder with unread messages, my old version automatically selected the first unread message.

The new version does not. Instead, it selects the last message that was previously read.  Is there anyway to change this?

No, what you describe in v2 was actually a bug and couldn't be reproduced by everybody.
Ever since v1 selecting a folder meant starting with the same message as I ended in that folder. When that didn't work it had something to do with sorting options etc.
What you're experiencing now is as designed.

However, there are several shortcuts that pick the next unread message across folders and even across accounts, so that might be the way to go for you.

There's a very old list of shortcuts listed in the FAQ: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/shortcut.eng.txt

An easy way to fnd whether there a shortcut for a given function is to browse through the customizer. In a recent thread on this forum it's explaine how to add shortcuts, you can follow the same procedure (more or less) to search for shortcuts.
