Can't sign with GnuPG

I've gotten gpg installed and running correctly. When I try to sign a message text, I get asked for my password and then I get a blank DOS box and no activity whatsoever. It appears to be trying to run gpg.exe.  As soon as I close the DOS box, I get this error:

gpgwrap: executing `C:\Program Files\GNU\GnuPG\gpg.exe' failed: No error

I've checked everything I can think of and now I'm out of ideas.

Ritlabs have fixed this problem in the latest beta version of The Bat! You can test it if you wish. To get the BETA version, please subscribe to TBBETA mailing list. To subscribe to TBBETA, just send an e-mail to tbbeta-join@thebat.dutain­­t.com , then post the message to the list and ask how can you get the lastest beta. The list subscribers will reply to you.  

Alternatively, you can wait until Ritlabs will release the next final version of The Bat! with this error fixed.

I think that The Bat! does not recognize GnuPG 1.4.7 but apparently this has been fixed in the beta.
