Running theBat! on a Windows server

I have theBat! on a Windows server (Windows 2003)

I tried to email to my personal email address and received this error:

"Message has not been sent. Server reply - This mail server requires the authentication when attempting to send a non-local email address."

So, I sent an email to a local email address on this domain, and it was sent fine.

The host administrator suggested I enable Authentication.

I tried enabling authentication at Account > Properties > Transport > Send > SMTP >Perform SMTP Authentication (RFC2554), but still was unsuccessful sending and got the same error.

I look forward to nay helpful suggestions/solutions.

What kind of authentication settings did you set?

You could ask the host admin for the proper name/passw or whether you've got to use pop before smtp.

Thank you for your reply.

To answer your question I selected: Perform SMTP Authentication (RFC2554).

Yet, still get the same message:

"Message has not been sent. Server reply - This mail server requires the authentication when attempting to send a non-local email address. Please check your mail client settings or contact your administrator to verify that the domain or addrsss is defined for this server".

Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.
