Reindexing folders + mail ticker disappeared

After several reported crashes I moved messages from Inbox folder to other folders. The problem however is that when trying to make a "search" through the quick search filter, only the items before the date I moved the mails appear, not after, which is quite uncomfortable. Is there any way how to reindex a given folder that all the messages which are inside are taken into consideration ?

Another thing which happened just recently is that out of nothing the "mail ticker" stopped appearing after receiving the email. I checked the settings: everything is in the default setting with mail ticker on in the preferences, I restarted Bat, still no mail ticker appears (as always before)

Sometimes the mail ticker disappears after you've been playing with the screen resolution. It appears outside the monitor, this could be the problem.

When using the quick search, all messages should be taken into account. Maybe emptying the quick search bar and starting anew helps.

But if the screen resolution was put back to the original and mail ticker still not there ?

TB has problems with changing screen resolutions, especially when they're occorring when TB is running.
Anyway you can set them manually.
Close TB
Start Regedit
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!\Ticker\Top
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!\Ticker\Left
and set them both to something like 100
Close Regedit
Start TB
Drag the ticker to your preferred location.

Thank you, I will try ... I have not changed the resolution myself but it was temporarily changed while using the data projector

So no help with it ? I even reinstalled Bat, still no mail ticker. I hope I will not have to format my HDD. I also wrote to the Ritlabs technical support, no reply so far

Lets throw some mud and see if it sticks  :|

Set your mail ticker to HIDE
Close the bat and reopen. Now set it to ALWAYS and see if it reappears.

This works on the (unrelated) default mail handler issue when the bat won't open mails even though it is the default. Change it to something else then change it back and it works

Have you tried setting your screen resolution HIGH and seeing if it is there but off the screen at a lower resolution?

I use only the highest possible screen resolution, so if it is not here, it cannot be in any lower resolution ...

Did you change the settings for your foldersthat new messages aren't included in ticker? You can set that in the folder properties.

"Show unread messages in Mail Ticker" is selected in the inbox folder

Here what you do.

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!\ with regedit and delete folder Ticker.

Run installation again and choose repair. Done :-)
