Hi guys. I suddenly started having issues with certain SMTP servers after I upgraded from Windows XP Professional to Windows Vista Ultimate. When I'm trying to send message remote returns "5.5.4 Invalid Address" error message. Here is full log of what's happening:
220 d01fe01.Mi8.com Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 6.0.3790.1830 ready at Sun, 30 Sep 2007 23:19:49 -0400
EHLO MYPC.hsd1.ca.comcast.net.
501 5.5.4 Invalid Address
HELO MYPC.hsd1.ca.comcast.net.
501 5.5.4 Invalid Address
QUIT
221 2.0.0 d01fe01.Mi8.com Service closing transmission channel
is Microsoft KB article about it.
Could you tell me why The Bat! 3.99.24 adds extra dot at the end of doiman and what I need to do in order to be able to send outgoing messages ? Basically I can't work with out e-mail.
I'm using purchased version of the client.
Thank you.
PS. You probably see dashes at the end of each EHLO string. They weren't in the log, it's forum engine who adds dashes for some reason.
