Not all of Eudora inbox imported????, Is there a mailbox size limit in the Bat?

Hi, I'm trying to switch to the Bat from Eudora version 7. Eudora contains all my mail since 2001. The problem is that the Bat seems unwilling to import all of my Eudora inbox messages. Towards the end of importing my inbox, I get a warning message that the size of the mailbox is approaching 2 GB and I should consider  compacting the mailbox (which I've done) or splitting it up into several mailboxes. I click OK, and when the importing is done, the messages I got in the past two months are missing in the Bat. I use Win XP on an NTFS hard drive, so file size should not be a problem. Please help. file size may not be a problem for the OS but could be for theBat(I have no idea if it really is).
Why don't you move some messages in Eudora to a new folder? Like make Inbox_OLD and move there everything older than 2 years, compact both folders(in Eudora)then try importing again.

After import you may cleanup both folders(like delete useless attachments from messages) , compact and then merge them again if you want everything in a single folder. But it's imo better to keep old stuff separately (for smaller backups, faster searching etc.)

I have asked tech support about this, i.e. about any setting to increase the 2 GB limit.

Also, it would be nice to have the incredibly fast search function of Eudora... it took just a few seconds to find anything in the past 10 year's e-mail.
