Disappointed in 4.0

Well, I'm disappointed in the 4.0 release. I've been waiting for some time for this version and after downloading, and running it Sandboxed, I deleted it. I'm sure there are some internal changes to the program, but I was really hoping for some GUI updates. Maybe there are some and I didn't notice them, but from my perspective, overall this isn't much of an upgrade. And given the reported problem(s), it's hard to justify permanently installing this software.

Not only that, people in other forums are laughing about Ritlabs now, for releasing this even though knowing it is far from ready...

What "other forums"?

forums where the news of the new version were reported.

Hello,

This is not the final version. The proof, your licence remains valid. No disappointment thus.

You can now see the images in a mail. It's already better for some.

You have now a URL manager to manage the images in the mail.

Regards.

This IS the final version. If you'd bother to read the Ritlabs announcements you'd see that v4.0x is a free upgrade for all V3 users. Only 4.1x will be a version you need to pay for (as V3 user).

Yes but the current update is free.

The one who is not satisfied will not pay version following ones ( 4.1... ).

There will be still improvements.

The current modifications.

Seems to me that Ritlabs prefaced 4.0 with a lot of hoopla. And while there are some upgrades, the release just didn't live up to my expectations. Shame on me, I guess.

The only thing I'm kind of "excited" about is that they are replacing the spellchecker with hunspell (the spellchecker used by Mozilla and OpenOffice). The old one was just not good enough anymore, not to mention it was quite outdated. I'm really looking forward to a Voyager release of V4.
