work with GMail's IMAP (The Bat! v4)

Greetings...

How to configure The Bat! (4.0.7) to work with Gmail over the IMAP? I can login there, but I can't see eny mail in folders -- neither after "connect" nor after "Synchronise all folders" (although all checkboxes in Manage IMAP Folders (Subscribed and Synchronise (headers only)) are checked).
Also after each start/close of "Manage IMAP Folders" applet all folders gets it's clone...

Best regards...

P.S.
What a soggy release...

Make sure you use ssl and that the smtp is different:

   Incoming Settings
   Use SSL: ON
   Authentication: password
   Server Port: 993

   Outgoing Settings
   Use SSL: ON
   Authentication: Password
   Server Port: 587

IMAP is hosed for several of us at least. We are seeing the exact same problems with non Gmail IMAP accounts.

Hello!

I've got a MacBook Pro running Windows 7 Ultimate. When I press the right alt (option) key to key-in the @ sign, I get the following error:

Access violation at address 00000000. Write of address 0000000.

I have installed the The Bat! application as an administator with no success. Has anybody experienced this? Is there a solution to this problem?

Cheers!

IMAP support in TheBat! is extremely buggy and is broken beyond repair, especially when dealing with Gmail, but not only Gmail.

I complained to support about specific issues, but they usually refuse to acknowledge the problems and have been saying for the last couple of years they'd  re-write it completely in some future version. We'll see, but there are no signs of that yet, in 2010.

I've been trying to use TheBat with Gmail IMAP for some time with limited success, but I just gave up. I can give some advice on how to make it reasonably workable if anyone is interested, though.

As much as I like the program otherwise, if you're just evaluating TheBat hoping to make it work with IMAP, the best advice I can give you is, look elsewhere.

@andrix - you are absolutely right   I wish I could sue Ritlabs. I am on Google Apps Premier and have no choice. IMAP in TheBat is so screwed up I have moved lock. stock & barrel to PostBox (TB platform) while it works just fine its so slow in IMAP and surely no match for TheBat in features.

RITLabs can't get IMAP straight for paid Profesional version users but they can collaborate with Gmail for THEBAT.NET
