2 smtp servers for the same account, account configuration

Depending of the connection (modem ou local) I have to use 2 differents smtp servers.
Is it possible with The Bat?
For example if the first one sends an error trying the second?

This is not possible with The Bat. All you can do is define a secondary "spare" account with the second SMPT server configured but no incoming mail settings.

It would then be a manual job to move the failed message to the secondary account's outbox for transmission.

I use a laptop and move between home and office daily. Currently, every time I make a change to any account setting (e.g. if I add or change a Quick Template) I have to remember to save two copies of my settings, one for each SMTP configuration. It would be nice to have a "quick switch" capability to toggle SMTP settings and leave all other settings alone.

There's a tool called XRay that does this automatically, it acts like an smtp-proxy:

BTW Quick templates, folder, folder templates and filters are not saved in the account.cfn file and that would be the only file you need to swap.

Roelof. Thanks for the poinnter. It's just what I need. The documentation/help is a bit sparse and it took me a few tries to get it right. Once I changed The Bat! to use localhost port 25 for SMTP I was in business. Obvious in retrospect, not so obvious at the time.
