Emails are missing

When I tried to open it Thebat! said out of memory. I updated thebat!, now I can't see any messages. What's up?

I had copied the email folders to another place. Weird - but all the folders were still listed (Where is this info stored - I uninstalled it!) Anyway I deleted all the folders. Then I reinstalled TheBat! And restored from the most recent BU. Then I imported emails from the copied folders to get the emails back since the last backup (these were only those of today!) Then I did maintenance to remove duplicates. It worked. Still would like to know what happened!
