Winmail.dat problem in 4.0.18, My bat lost the ability to autoextract winmail.dat

Hi everyone,

I got an annoying problem with winmail.dat - new Bat version autoextracts files out of it - nice feature I was waiting for - but... my Bat copy suddenly stopped autoextracting the files out of winmail.dat.

I think the cause of the problem was that I have installed UltraEdit editor that has assigned the .dat files to be opened with it! And now I have no idea how to fix that though I have looked through the Bat configuration a few times - could someone please tell me how to resolve this problem?

This is not set via The Bat.
Use Windows Explorer to find the file, right click on the winmail.dat choose Open with. In the new dialog find UltraEdit and check always use this program.

I do not think, TB4 needs any association of dat files. When You open message which includes Winmail.dat, only this attachment is displayed?

Try to install Winmail Opener app and if it will extract Winmail.dat and TB do not, send this message as EML to support@thebat.cz, I will check it

If The Bat! have stopped autoextracting the files out of winmail.dat, please send the sample of such messages to max@ritlabs.com

The deveopers of The Bat! will see why it might happen.

This should not be related to UltraEdit or other software.
