Using V1 & V4 on the same message bases ?

Hello,

We have several users of TheBat V.1.62 on the LAN. As well as their own message folders, they all share some folders. We want to try V4 for some new users,but can V4 share V1 message files, or are they a different format?

n.b. They aren't 'common folders' they are regular message folders and the storage location is \\server\bat\sales etc. and all users point to the same folder.

V4 uses the same message base format as V1.62, but the folder properties are stored in another file and so are the account properties and the filters.

What type of folder properties; if it's signatures, reply formats etc, then they were always unique to each PC (each user could have their own reply layout for the shared message bases) so which properties will change?

V.1.62 doesn't seem to work on Vista, which is the problem as our new PCs are Vista only :-(

The folder properties are stored in a file in the account directory, so if you only point to the specific folder on the server and n9ot a full account then there should be no problem.
