The Bat Old Version Download, Trying to decide on a stable build as default mailer

As much as I love The Bat, however the lastest version 4.0.28.1 does not seem to serve me well as a stable default mailer. As such I am testing versions/builds to find out one that is most stable.

Can someone kindly advise if there is an official archive for old version downloads. I am especially interested in the early builds of version 3.

Thanks for advising!

not sure if there is an official archive, but you may google for thebat_pro_3-xx-xx.msi , replace x's with the numbers for the minor version & revision you look for. There is a good chance to find older versions on shareware sites, public ftp's etc.

I myself still use v3.85.03 and it serves me very well.

Thanks bigg one. That tip worked.
Well stability and reliability means a lot to me. What I really need I guess is the core of TB - I don't fancy much features irrelevant to email :| I will try that build you've suggested.

Again thanks! :D

Having tried out most of the 4.0.x versions I finally unistalled TB completely, cleaned out my registry of any references to RitLabs and TheBat, restared the PC and reinstalled The Bat 3.99.29 from scratch  :!:

I love TB but the problems with stability, spelling and the frequent crashes, exception errors etc were driving me NUTS!

So it was back to TB3.99.29 (again). Clean install, reconfigured from start and thank God I chose to do that! Finally I have a stable and functional TB to work with    :D

Sure TB4.0.x has some goodies I like but basically all I need is a stable and reliable email client and TB4.x is still too unstable as far as I am concerned.

PS: If anyone wants TB3.99.29 and can't find it just let me know

The latest usable (for me) version is the v4.0.14
winXP-SP3 Pro, the Bat! v4.0.38
