Lost virtual folders

My PC shutdown suddenly today and upon restart all but my account folders were missing.

Using <ctrl><alt><shift>L recovered some of the directories, but none of my many virtual folders. (But only after I'd created a test new folder at the root level, for some reason)

I'm keen to get them back as:

- I spent a lot of time fine tuning the virtual folders

- There are directories for them on disk that prevent me from naming my new ones as I'd like.
I'm reluctant to delete them until I know that I can't recover them.

This is the first time that TB! has let me down in many years... and I'm being mocked by Outlook users. It's tough.

Any ideas?

TIA,

Nick.

(Version 4.0.28.1 on XP SP3)

in <mail folder>\<account folder>\ there are two files named ACCOUNT.FLB and ACCOUNT.~FLB. They are normally identical so probably ~.FLB is a backup copy of .FLB
Try (with theBat closed) to rename
ACCOUNT.FLB to ACCOUNT_FLB.BAK or sth like that,
make a copy of  ACCOUNT.~FLB and rename it to ACCOUNT.FLB

This may eventually help, as modifying a virtual folder settings changes ACCOUNT.FLB, and when theBat is closed it copies it to ACCOUNT.~FLB

Or if you have a backup of the account folder, try restoring this and maybe other files.

Thanks for that.

I restored "all" the files in TB!'s root mail folder from a backup, and after a refreshing all the virtual folders everything seems OK.
