This is not new to the latest version, it has been happening for a long time.

When I access a folder for the first time or after it has been untouched for a while, it takes 5 to ten seconds to populate the message list window. If I jump to another folder, they are slow too until the first folder has finished whatever it is doing.

This is starting to get to the point were it is irritating, so I thought I'd ask if anyone knew what might be the cause.

Disk defrag doesn't seem to help.
