Duplicates in folder list, Can't delete duplicate folder list items

I've been using an older version of TB for a long time, and I'm trying out the latest Ver 3.0.1.33. When I installed I used a PC that's never had TB on it, so I created an Archive backup of my settings from the old version, and I imported them into 3.0.  That seemed to work, but I noticed I had several duplicate folders in my account.  They included "Sent Mail", "Trash", and "Inbox".  I've managed to delete all of the duplicates with the exception of the "Sent Mail" folder.  To do this I Renamed the copy of the folder, then I deleted it (so I wouldn't lose all the files that were showing up the same in both the "real" folder and the "copy" of the folder).

In the case of the Sent Mail folders, one of the copies has an icon of a plain folder, and the other has an icon of a folder with a small envelope in the lower right.  I assume the latter is the "true" Sent Mail folder that TB3 is recognizing.  Both show the same list of Sent messages. TB3 will not let me rename either copy of the Sent Mail folder. I don't want to lose this list of messages, so I'm hesitant to just Delete either of these folders, since they seem to be somehow linked together (they show the same contents).

How do I fix this?

I was having same problem, only I could not delete other folders as well (they kept comming back after deleting them and then after trying to re-delete them I was getting msg "can not delete default folder"). What I did was: I created temp folder, moved contents of the folder to be deleted there (backup) and in the "the bat!" mail folder deleted files with extensions ACCOUNT.~FB and ACCOUNT.FLX. Those two files can be found in C:\Program Files\The Bat!\Mail\your@mail.com or similar folder (depending where you did install your bat and where is your mail folder). Those files seem to be somehow linked to old folders. After doing this I was able to remove duplicate folders (old ones). You may still need to delete folder twice as they seem to re-appear once after deletion. Also restart the bat for changes to take effect.

After all done and no old folders left, compy contents back to the appropriate folder and if needed use "duplicate removal tool"  found at Folder-> Remove Duplicates.

If you have some very very important stuff, of course try to back up everything, but since you get to this duplicate folders" problem I would assume you already have backup copy.

I hope this have been helpful at least a bit.
