How to schedule a mass mailing with 4.2?

Hello,

I have just installed the last version 4.2 because I need to schedule personalized messages for a mass mailing to a quite large group of friends.

But I would like to know how I can configure the number of messages sent every hour. For example, I would like to send no more than 1 message per minute. As you know, if The Bat send 100 emails all together at the same time, any SMTP server will block our mailing and will consider us as a spammer (and will also probably block our account).

I've seen in the last version the scheduler, but it seems that it's not possible to configure the number of messages per hour.

Thank you for your help.

Marek, Roelof, no idea how to do that?  :)

It's rather easy. (Even though it's a lot of work to set it up for the first time.)
Pick an address book field you don't use for it's real purpose. Let's say the business pager number
Set a delay in that field like 1m or 1h 15m. Just make sure that you use different delays for everybody in the AB group that you're using for your mass mailing.
Now use the macro %Postpone="%ABToBusPager"%- in your mass mailing template. Every recipient will have it's own delay. This way youi can have the most important recipients have the smallest delay.
It might not be the perfect solution, but it's bound to work. (No, I didn't test it.)
