i prefer to use the plain text (windows) - proportional fonts editor as my default but on my installation, this causes each line of text to flicker on every keystroke and that is very distracting.  does anyone else see this?

i'm running v3.0.1.33 under windows xp and have fiddled with every known setting (bat & windows xp) while retaining windows proportional fonts but without luck.  i can eliminate the problem by switching to the plain text (microed) editor with fixed fonts but i'd rather not do this.

does anyone know of a way to eliminate text flickering while using the proportional fonts text editor as the default to create new messages?
